It should.....you'll need a special adapter, though, and you have to set the sound to digital out via the headphone jack...

sorry, I didn't know that Apple released a new MacBook Pro....I thought the latest one was 2015....my bad....the 13" does, and probably the 15"....

I could be wrong though...only way to know for sure would be to try it

The OP is not talking about a 13" or 15" MacBook Pro. The 12" MacBook doesn't have that capability.
