Has anyone come across info about the Post EFI LED colour combinations and what they indicate?
Trying different sets of matched pair DIMMS yield different results.
I have 3 paired sets, one set gives me a Red DS1 and Green DS2-4, The other 2 sets give me Green DS1, Orange DS2, Red DS3 and Green DS4. Followed by both CPU health LED's in Red.
This is all the Service Manual says:
The four EFI POST LEDs, DS1-DS4, are tri-state colored LEDs that may be green, red, or amber. When the Xserve (Late 2006) is powered on, the four LEDs light up and display different patterns of colors. If the system hangs, record the color for each LED and contact AppleCare technical support to report the pattern.
