What are those white Apple decal stickers for?

So here's a really, really easy way to get points by answering a question that every Machead but me probably knows the answer to: I just got a new Macbook and these two white Apple logo stickers came with it. What are they for? I mean, my Macbook already has a logo on it. I've found these in previous Apple product packages and never did find a use for them, but this time I thought I'd just ask before tossing them. Any suggestions?

I know this is an old question but I do not believe the answer here answers it correctly. The actual reason is to put stickers where you want. Many people like to put stickers on a Nalgene bottle, a computer, a car, suitcases, and countless other things. This is to show of the company that they like. This is a thing that many companies do that is used as an advertising feature.

My stickers are on: Portable Hard Drive, Truck window, coffee mug, portable music player, desk lamp.

Thanks, stedman 1. Portable hard drive or anything else that might have to be journaled for Mac is a good idea. Now if only I had a truck.... 😉

So, let's see, that means you ran out, right? So what did you do with the first ones? So far I'm hearing portable devices, cars, trucks, lamps, and coffee mugs.

A lot of people get a case, which covers up the logo (although in the case of the MacBook Pro, the logo probably still shines through), so then they put the sticker on that. I have one on my car. I've also seen people put them on folders or binders.

The grand prize of Solved goes to stevejobsfan0123 for helping me figure out what to do with these two otherwise useless advertising gimmicks: one will go onto the logo of my laptop to help keep it from getting scratched and the other will decorate the spiral notebook I take notes in when talking to AppleCare.

Although I've had a few of those stickers, in some cases way

outlasting the associated Apple hardware purchase, I've an

idea not so often suggested...

Where there is a white sticker, somewhere

there likely is a white vehicle, with a scratch.

Because I didn't read your link to see if that's been suggested
