What are those white Apple decal stickers for?

A lot of people get a case, which covers up the logo (although in the case of the MacBook Pro, the logo probably still shines through), so then they put the sticker on that. I have one on my car. I've also seen people put them on folders or binders.

Although I've had a few of those stickers, in some cases way

outlasting the associated Apple hardware purchase, I've an

idea not so often suggested...

Where there is a white sticker, somewhere

there likely is a white vehicle, with a scratch.

I know this is an old question but I do not believe the answer here answers it correctly. The actual reason is to put stickers where you want. Many people like to put stickers on a Nalgene bottle, a computer, a car, suitcases, and countless other things. This is to show of the company that they like. This is a thing that many companies do that is used as an advertising feature.

My stickers are on: Portable Hard Drive, Truck window, coffee mug, portable music player, desk lamp.

To stick on the outside of your Mac Book, your car, your head or any other possible place you can think of.
