Q: USB Drive and Thunderbolt display
I want to know if I can use the Thunderbolt display and USB Superdrive alone, e.g. play DVD directly to display. Would I need a keyboard/mouse in order to control the USB drive, play/eject and so on?

Hi,
That is a great thought and question. I own the 27" Thunderbolt Display and wish it would work that way. The Thunderbolt's USB Hub and ports deprive it's data/signal when plugged in via the the Thunderbolt Display connector to a Mac. The Display has a Media Hub and Cooling fan. Nothing else to give self-sustaining control such as an iMac 27"
Cheers
