Q: iPhoto locations changed with iMac update

On one of the previous updates to my iMac, all the locations to my previously uploaded photos had their locations changed. How do I change them back. They at one time had the correct location and know they made the locations in China?? Which is far from where i actually was.

Which version of iPhoto and OS X are you using?

Is it really iPhoto where you are having this roblem or rather Photos for Mac?

I had just brought up "photos" on my Mac, and noticed that the photo actions had changed with my last update on my Mac and am just now getting around trying to resolve the issue. When I originally uploaded the photos, the times and locations were all accurate. I did an update and now most locations are in china? So I'm not sure where the problem lies at this point. Mac OS x 10.10.5

It is probably a problem with Apple's location database and a transmission error with the query of this database.  It is occasionally switching the longitudes and latitudes to a different hemisphere. I have seen photos I took in Antarctica been listed as taken in the UK, but this usually will correct itself after a week or so.

But send feedback to Apple, just in case it is a wrong entry in their database.

You can use this form:   Feedback - Photos - Apple
