Q: Home Sharing keeps dropping out
Hello,
I have an Apple TV 3rd generation and use it to play music through iTunes and Home Sharing. My Computer is installed with Windows 10 with the latest updates installed as well as my Apple TV with the latest updates. I also use a Netgear AC3200 Nighthawk Router and a Netgear AC1200 Range Extender which I have all the latest updates and Firmware installed.
After playing music for about 10-15 minutes the music will stop and I get a message on my TV telling me to turn on home sharing on iTunes. This just started happening recently over the last week or so. I have looked up various solutions like making sure my firewall allows iTunes access which it does. I have even moved my Apple TV to a closer location to my PC and my. I am using Home Share through a wireless connection and I do not have a way to connect it through Ethernet. How can I solve this problem, it gets very annoying having restart iTunes every 15 minutes to play music.
