Q: why is my macbook showing 70gb of apps
I used to keep apps for my iPad and iPhone on my macbook, I recently deleted them all as the storage was showing 70gb of apps.
However since deleting then the storage is still showing 70gb of apps.
My question is what is this 70gb of apps, I know it isn't system applications as these total 560mb so what is it and how can I get this storage back.
MacBook Pro with Retina display, iOS 9.3.2

Have you rebuilt the Spotlight database index?
Rebuild the Spotlight index on your Mac - Apple Support
Use these steps to manually rebuild the Spotlight index for a folder or disk.
support.apple.com/en-us/HT201716
This may help. Sometimes items are not correctly identified
after changes were made in the system storage content.
There are other things to try, but this may help.
Good luck & happy computing!
