my iPhone 6 mic only works on speakerphone

Thanks for posting here. I see your mic only works on speakerphone. I know that it’s important for you to be able to make and receive calls and not have to use speaker phone.

If after performing those steps, if your mic still doesn’t work, then the issue is likely hardware. You can have the phone inspected at an Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider. You can find your nearest location here:

Hi Chris! Followed all of your steps, repeatedly, but to no avail. Mics ONLY work properly when on speaker phone (iPhone 6 with all its updates). What to do???

It’s potentially down to your finger position when holding the handset. If your phone is slipping then ‘this little piggy’ will have you running all the way back to the Iphone shop
