iPad Smart Keyboard - different languages
This is NOT a question, but a solution for all those users who are frustrated with the American layout of the iPad Smart Keyboard for the iPad Pro.
Having recently purchased an iPad Pro 12.9 with the smart keyboard, I decided to explore how to use the keyboard with different languages. Reason being, my wife is Polish and I am English, which means that I need more than one language installed on the iPad Pro.
1. Go to Settings - General - Language & Region and add your language.
2. Go to Settings - General - Keyboards - Keyboards (yes it is twice) and add the keyboard for your language.
3. Go to Settings - General - Keyboards - Hardware Keyboard and check to see if your language appears as a keyboard.
4. To change language on the Smart Keyboard, press the World key at the bottom left corner of the Smart Keyboard to select your language.
As an example, below are two tables showing the keystrokes for UK English and Polish that I created using my iPad Pro 12.9 with the Smart Keyboard attached and using iOS 9.3.2.
I do not know if the iPad Pro 9.7 Smart Keyboard will operate in the same way.
