The processors can be upgraded as long as you use ones that use the same socket profile. These forums aren't intended to help with such a project, but you will find more information searching Google. Actual components can be found on eBay or Amazon.

That is not true. The Xeon and i7 use the same socket but an i7 will not function in a Mac Pro since the EFI firmware will not properly recognize an i7.
