I want to know what is the format in which the Whatsapp backup is stored in iCloud

I have moved from Andriod to Apple, I have already taken backup of What'sApp messages to Google Drive (*.db), and the same I have moved to iCloud Storage. I am unable to restore while initiating the fresh What'sApp application. I need to know what is the extension (*.*) in which the What'sApp messages are stored in iCloud storage so I can rename the backup to the same and be able to restore What'sApp chat messages.

iPhone 5s, iOS 9.3.2

I'm not sure what would be the whatsapp backup format be. but i think within the app itself it has the ability to backup your conversations to their server which means it will move from one device to the other without having to move it manually.

Well, as mentioned earlier I had Android phone and now I have moved to iPhone. The backup is in iCloud with .db extension however while configuring the What'sapp the application is not able to locate the what'sapp backup.
