Q: Transfer books from iBooks iPad to MacBook Air?

Hello everyone,

I have an iPad 2 which I mostly use to read books. Most of the books that I have are in ePub format but they are not downloaded from iBooks store. They were in PDF format and I converted them to ePub format using a converter online. My question is that how can I transfer these books from my iPad to MacBook? I am unable to attach them in mail or messages or any other application. Please help!

Connect the iPad to your Mac's iTunes and try File > Devices > Transfer Purchases (that has always copied PDFs and/or epubs from my iPad's iBooks app, not just actual ibooks), and then in iBooks on your Mac do File > Move Books From iTunes

You did both steps and if you did, how/where did you convert them (directly on the iPad or via your computer), and do you still have the PDFs anywhere ?
