Q: No alert sounds in mail
HI
I have no alert sounds in mail in coming or out going also when I plug the iPad into the mains to charge there is no sound then. I have looked at other sounds that I can change to but still no alert. In ringtone I can change the alerts and they work no problem.

If you are really running iOS 6, then this may apply to you. I believe that you have system sounds muted.
