iPod Shuffle Earphones

Can someone tell me if the most recent generation of iPod Shuffle is controllable via the supplied earphones?

Previous gen shuffles could only be controlled via the buttons on the device itself which is why I ask. Thanks

As far as I can tell it should be compatible with Apple headphones that have a remote, but is supplied with regular headphones. See http://www.apple.com/ipod-shuffle/specs/

The iPs4 does indeed work with headphone clickers. I have a couple of Bose headphone sets that work perfectly with my iPs3 and iPs4. They just threw some non-clickable headphones in the box because of reasons.
