Q: Videos in ibook

I'm writing a book for people who can't read due to strokes - although their intellect is intact.

I need to add a video to each page for accessibility - but worried it will create a VERY SLOW upload or too many challenges with that many videos.

Any suggestions?

    Hello Aphasia Director!

Glad to hear that you're wanting to get an iBooks published.  I certainly understand wanting to make sure that it wouldn't be slow to load, because of the videos on each page, and that the readers would still be able to enjoy the iBook.

To start with, you mentioned the part about not being able to read it due to certain circumstances.  For this I just wanted to give you a cool feature that's built into iBooks where you can add an accessibility feature to it.  Check out this article here for more information:

iBooks Author: Add an accessibility description to an object

When it comes to adding in a video on each page, the only part that might be 'slow' is going to be the actual download of the iBook itself because that's going to all be based off of the internet speed.  However, once it's downloaded then it should be good to go.  Here's some more information about adding in the videos just in case you needed it:

Add video or audio to your books in iBooks Author

iBooks Author: Add a movie or an audio file

Wish you the best of luck with the iBook you're working on, have a great day!
