Can metal detectors and x-Ray can damage iphones or other apple products? I pointed a metal detector at an iPhone without knowing if this could affect my device. Can somebody please help:(

No. iPhones are not sensitive to magnets, so they metal detectors can't damage them. They are also non-organic, (meaning they don't have DNA), so they can't be damaged in any significant way by X Rays.

IMO x-rays machines and detectors at airports will not damage your phone but hobby type metal detectors could. I would follow the recommendations of your device.
