Q: security questions/answers not working

i've tried to verify myself with the security answers that ive saved on a paper from a while ago but its not working. i contacted apple support, they reset my password but that didnt help the situation so if you guys know how to reset the security questions without having to answer them at all then that would help me alot! ive also locked it out now i cant try and verify myself so i possibly have to wait a bit.
