Macbook Pro (13-INCH, Late 2011) Constantly Freezing
My Macbook Pro, (2,4 GHz Intel Core i5 with 4 GB 1333 MHZ DDR3) has recently started to freeze with any command or simple task that I try to do. I updated it to the newest version of OS X El Captain 10.11.5 that was available to me within the last week or so, but the problem was starting before that so I thought that maybe if I updated whatever the problem was would go away. Of course, it didn't. I tried cleaning off my computer for more disk space (I currently have 50 GB) but it's definitely frustrating when it freezes every second I'm trying to delete something or upload something.
On startup, it takes a while for it to load usually. I'll log in and 3 out of 4 times it freezes when I type in my password then unfreezes when it logs in. It takes forever for everything to load. I've already checked the system preferences for the start-up and login apps. There are none.
I'll open safari (or any other application) and it'll take a while, freeze, show me the beachball cursor and then open minutes later. I go and type on the safari, it freezes again. I can not make it through any simple task without it freezing constantly. I DO NOT download anything off of the internet, nor do I even have any bookmarks or anything saved on Safari. I have even tried resetting that already with a recommendation from a website. Safari isn't the only application that freezes like this either. My Photos App will do the same, my finder will freeze and it will take 10-15 minutes to open a folder with only ONE item in it. Every. Single. Application.
I've also gotten a notification saying that "adobe script can not finish running and may slow your computer down" or something similar to that, do you want to either continue running or quit. I quit it of course, and then proceeded to check to see what this adobe script was running. There wasn't one or anywhere to even stop it.
I'm not sure if my battery has anything to do with it either. My Macbook currently drains the battery in less than an hour if not plugged in.
I've looked up the console with a recommendation off of a website as well, I'm not sure what I'm looking for either. I try to scroll through (though it freezes when I do) to see if there are any errors that I know off hand but I honestly don't know. I've also tried the disk utility repair, however that has been unsuccessful because every time I try do to that it freezes and actually stays frozen where it doesn't even process and try to unfreeze itself.
I've looked at RAM, but also not sure what I am looking for there either.
OH, finally I've tried running Safe Boot, but that's just as slow.
Unfortunately I can not take it into an apple store since I live about 8 hours away from one and was hoping someone could help me troubleshoot. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I'm available definitely for questions as well.
