Apple TV4 Home Sharing Stopped Working

I set up my Apple TV4 in January and Home Sharing worked flawlessly. I was able to click "Computers" and it showed all my music and pictures in my iTunes that I had running on my PC.


As of this week, I am no longer able to get Home Sharing to work on the Apple TV. When I click "Computers" it gives the message about turning on Home Sharing on iTunes for my email account.


Things I have done:


- Double checked that Home Sharing is on and iTunes is running (even turned it off and back on again and restarted iTunes a few times)


- Double checked that the iTunes account for Home Sharing is my correct email address (and logged out and back in a few times)


- Double checked that the under the iTunes "Sharing" Preferences menu, it is selected to share my entire library (and I unchecked and rechecked and restarted iTunes a few times)


- Unbplugged/reset my router


- Restarted the Apple TV


- Unchecked IP6 in my computer's Network Settings


- Restarted the Bonjour service on the computer


- Checked iTunes for updates



Everything else seems to function fine with the Apple TV. Very frustrating!

Yes, I've searched the other threads. That's where I got the list of things I already tried.


I have not messed with the ports or or turned off the firewall, but it seems strange that I would have to, given that it worked fine for 5 months with all the same equipment and PC, etc. I will try opening those ports if I can figure out how to do that, just for the heck of it.
