Requirements for reinstalling OS X using Recovery

Reinstalling OS X using Recovery requires broadband access to the Internet using a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. OS X is downloaded over the Internet from Apple when OS X Recovery is used for reinstallation. You must use DHCP on your Wi-Fi or Ethernet network to reinstall OS X using OS X Recovery.

How did you  "erase my mac os" ?

For Recovery you need Lion or later.

What OSX version was on your Mac?

What model Mac Pro?  Is it a silver tower Mac Pro desktop or the latest, 2013 black trashcan?

    Again

    - How did you  "erase my mac os" ?

    -  What specific model MacBook Pro?

    - What OSX version was on the Mac

When you see a circle with a slash symbol instead of the Apple logo, it means your Mac couldn't find a valid System Folder to start up from.

If you're using your Mac at a school or business, it might be trying to start from the wrong version of OS X. Contact your IT department for more help.

    Hi KaungSet,

It appears you may have wiped your OS but if you wiped your entire hard drive then it could have erased your recovery drive too! If you wanted to re-install your OS you would not have to erase your HD, you can just reinstall it on top of your existing OS. In order to install an OS at this point you will need an external installer drive (or CD if you have one) to get you started. It will have to be at least 10.6.8 to have an app store and from there you can download 10.11.5 "El Capitan".

    Best,

      Al
