Q: Movie stopping when fast forwarding on Quicktime 10.4

Yesterday I upgraded to OS X El Capitán and noticed that Quicktime is stopping playback when I fast forward using two fingers on the trackpad. Previously, on Yosemite, I could fast forward/rewind and keep watching without having to hit play again. Is anyone experiencing that? Anything that I could do to have this "feature" off?

P.S.: when fast forwarding using the controls/force touch, playback continues as usual.
