I tried deregistering online since I don't have my old iPhone. Everytime I get a code and enter the 6 digit numbers, I get this message "your phone number is not registered with iMessage". But I still don't get messages from people who have ipnone. Idn what to do now. What is it supposed to happen when you enter the code Apple send you?
Is your new phone has the same telephone number as your old iPhone?
Also talk to your provider if your text plan is provision correctly.
I do have the same phone number and there's no problem with the current text plan.

Yep. Perhaps I should wait a day or two and see if the online deregistering process worked? I don't understand why it said my phone number isn't registered with iMessage even when I first tried.
Ask your iPhone friends to reply to your SMS you sent.
