Q: i rented a movie on my computer and now it won't play

I rented a movie on my computer and it played about 15 minutes of the movie fine, but now its frozen and won't play at all. What can I do to get it to play?

    Thanks for joining Apple Support Communities, baylortexas!

    It seems like you're stuck playing a movie rented through iTunes on your Mac Pro. I'd want to be sure I've gotten what I've paid for so here's some steps you can take to get it working. Feel free to skip any steps you've already tried. With those you try here, test to see if the movie plays afterwards.

     

    1. Restart your Mac Pro by selecting the Apple Menu () > Restart.

    2. Make sure iTunes is up to date -- Get the latest version of iTunes

     

    Remember that you have 24 hours in which to view your movie rental but that should do it!
