Need help recovering deleted notes from iCloud

Hello, I'm having a problem where I had a ton of notes on my iPhone 6S and my iCloud was starting to get full. I went to Settings<General<Storage & iCloud Usage< Manage iCloud Storage and I deleted my notes backup so I could have more room on my iCloud. I thought that all of my notes would still stay on my phone but when I went to my notes app everything was gone! Is there a way to recover them?

Hmmm, this is confusing.

You are running iOS 9.3.2. When iOS 9 was introduced, Notes went through a large upgrade.

Upgrade your notes with iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan - Apple Support

Did you upgrade Notes? It doesn't sound like you did.

Had you upgraded Notes, you would find folders called "Notes" and "Recently Deleted" after pressing the "<" symbol in the upper left of the Notes app.

Do you store your Notes in iCloud?

Regardless of the answer, iCloud notes are not backed up (except the Deleted Notes referred to above).

Hello! Yes I know what you mean. My notes app is up to date. I had a folder that had all of my notes and then another folder that read "deleted notes" and those would get deleted in a certain number of days I believe. But when I went to my iCloud storage and clicked manage storage, I clicked on my notes and clicked "disable and delete" and that got rid of all of my notes that I had. And I'm wondering if that's recoverable?

It sounds as if you elected to permanently delete your Notes. If that's true, they're gone. This is from http://www.icloud.com > Notes > "?" (help):

Have you had that solved! This happened to me yesterday and I'm freaking out I had all my important stuff there I thought the same thing to make more space
