Worst service in India (period)

One of our macbook pro (13inch mid 2012) had an issue due to which it was not starting. We went to service center (Maple, Navi Mumbai, India) on 28th June 2016, Job number ************** and got return delivery 01st July 2016. Issue was with SATA Flex Cable.

MacBook worked for a day or less and after a while it started rebooting, when we returned to service center on 4th July 2016 (due to weekend on 2nd and 3rd), service center made a new job **************. We got a call saying mother board and battery are dead and will cost around INR 50,000 / 750$ to replace.

System was working fine before issue with SATA cable. And even after 1st job system was booting up and then after login was rebooting after 10 seconds or so. It is clear after the issue was resolved by service center, mother board and battery are not working properly. Engineers at service center are not ready to take responsibility on the damage caused during resolution.

Also call Bangalore office never entertains (91 80 4045 5150), we made several calls averaging 20-30 mins per call.

I heard great things about Apple support but if this is the response to customers from Apple support India then I'm sorry to say this is the worst service I have ever faced.

Any suggestions is there any way to get some higher authorities to look into issue?

manager and supervisors say its not our fault....either you did something to cause damage or some other problem in all....

Cable issue was there, it was not detecting HDD. And once it was replaced it worked for a day or less...

One of the speculation could be non technical surrounding, I have heard static electricity could damage. or may be wires were not tucked well which caused battery to get short and damage main board.

If it was working properly when you got it back then something else happened while it was in your possession. Or the bad battery/motherboard actually took out the first cable. If they gave it back to you and it was no longer working would be one thing but since it did work the timing could also be coincidence. Static electricity damage would be immediate and a SATA cable not being tucked properly would not short the battery and damage the motherboard.

Finally I went to third party repair shop, repair guy took <100$ and gave back macbook in a day.

The repair guy said, only few of the chips were fried which he replaced and said battery is in normal condition and will last at least a year or a little more, as in 1.5 years some 600 cycles were done and battery supports around 1000.

Thing is I know Apple provide excellent service under warranty and all macbooks we bought we upgraded to 3 year warranty, since this was one of the first purchase of our startup and due lack of funds, getting extended warranty was secondary.

I also heard very good reviews in US so to sum up Maple (Apple authorised service center) hire poor engineers who can not even check battery health and Apple Bangalore does not care about there customers to reply to email or answer phone.
