I am trying to transfer all apps on my iPhone 6 to iTunes but cannot manage it. From the file menu I click "synch all apps on iPhone ". I do a normal synch, it transfers photos, music but no apps. There are only a few apps on iTunes. My Macbook (Macbook Air Mid 2012 is authorized. What am I doing wrong, or if it's an error how can I rectify it?

Copies of iOS apps stored on your computer should still appear in iTunes. Apps can no longer be synced from a device to iTunes.
New "App Thinning" with iOS9: To make apps smaller they are being customized for specific hardware when downloaded from Apple directly over-the-air to a device with iOS9. Apps downloaded directly to a device from Apple may no longer work on any other kind of device. Apple has decided there is no point in syncing these to a computer since each device should ideally get a customized version directly from Apple. If you want a backup copy on your computer you can transfer a non-thinned version directly from the Store to the computer which should you need it can be transferred to any i-device (but will take up more room). I'm sorry Limnos, seems that I couldn't express myself well enough at the beginning. I don't have difficulties with downloading apps from the app store to my phone. I am unable to upload apps from my iphone to iTunes..
You can not transfer apps from a phone to a computer. That changed with iOS9. My earlier post explains why.
