Q: iPhone 6 only charging on one side

my iphone 6 now only charging on one side, I tried different usb cable and no luck. after doing more research online I replaced the charging port and apparently that did not help. phone is out of warranty so apple support wont do anything.

 

any thought of what could causing this?

    Apple would have been willing to help had you not tampered with the phone. Albeit, you would have had to pay for out of warranty service... You have forfeited that option by tampering with the hardware.

     

    Sorry, we can't advise you. Find a competent 3rd party that might be able to help you, buy a new phone, or live with the problem.
