Hello there, Manjunath K P!
Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It looks like you're having an issue getting the phone to Auto-Lock. I know I want my iPhone not to stay on when charging and have the screen lock properly. You might want to be sure your Auto-Lock is set up correctly. Your Auto-lock choices range from 30 seconds to 5 minutes before the screen locks, or you can choose Never so that it doesn't lock. To change the settings, tap the Settings icon, then the General button. Tap on the Auto-Lock option and choose your preference.
If those steps don't work and you are still not seeing the iPhone Auto-Lock when you are charging, you can go to Settings> General> Reset and then tap Reset All Settings. This will not delete any data. For example, if you’ve got 16GB of music, videos and photos, this option won’t remove it. What this effectively does is to reset some of your Settings to factory default. It’s not a complete removal of settings. It removes all of your preferences for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do No Disturb, Notifications, General, Sounds, Brightness & Wallpaper and Privacy.
Once that is done, go ahead and try to set the Auto-Lock again and see if it works.
Cheers!
