iPhone 6 not recognized by MacBook Pro

Just over 10 days ago I began to experience problems with my iPhone 6 - following update of iPhone to 9.3.2

1. My MacBook Pro no longer recognizes the iPhone 6 when connected via USB

iPhone not listed in my devices - before it was now it's not

2. When connected using USB iTunes cannot backup the iPhone 6

3. Also experiencing problems charging the iPhone 6 via USB cable.

Ok, so I know most will say the cable is most likely either not original Apple or is faulty .

However, my daughter has an iPhone 6 and I have used her cable too, and still have the same problems.

Therefore, likely cable is not the issue.

My questions to the community are -

1. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

2. Can anyone suggest a cause & fix?

Thanks

Check you are using the original or Apple replacement cord. Some third party cables only transfer power and no data signal.
