Q: Could Not Connect to "Living Room ATV4"

I have a MCP mid 2014 and an ATV4 that will not Airplay mirror.  4 Phones and 4 iPads all airplay and mirror normally.  This MBP airplays slow but functional from inside apps but when i try to Mirror from the bar by the clock i get the Could Not Connect to "Living Room ATV4" message.  This MBP mirrors normally to several other Apple TV3's in the house.....just not the ATV4.   It WILL mirror to the ATV4 from other user accounts on the MBP.  I don't have the expertise to transfer all my settings and mail and files from one account to another.  What could be causing this on one account?  I have a fairly basic set of apps (office, spotify, iWork stuff).  I've searched everywhere and the only solution was to format and reinstall macOS or change user profiles.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)

Another user had trouble because they were logged into a Microsoft Domain. Could that be your problem?

To be honest, i am not even sure what that means.  Everything is connected through a Uverse gateway wirelessly and the MBP is set up for DHCP.

Do you login into a Windows environment using that user ID, maybe accessing a work system remotely? I'm only asking because you said the problem was limited to one account on your computer, this was the cause of the other user's similar problem.

No, i am afraid not.  My work's VPN isn't mac friendly so i use PC for any remote stuff.  I have tried in the past to set up VPN but the account has since been removed from the Network settings.  I do have TeamViewer installed that i used once to help my parents on an issue remotely, but to my knowledge there isn't any always running component of that free version.  Thanks for trying to help!

Nonetheless, there's something special about that user account that makes it incompatible with mirroring. You say it "could not connect", so it does see the ATV 4, and you are able to select it. Then either you cannot open the path to ATV, or ATV actively rejects the connection. I'm not sure if this Use AirPlay to display video from your Mac on an HDTV - Apple Support has any help, but it wouldn't hurt to check.

Those numbers in parentheses mean that your Bonjour environment is confused in some way. Those ATVs have reported in with different IP numbers, so the Bonjour service increments the number so they each have a different "name". What is your network configuration, and what router are you using? Do you disconnect the other ATVs from power when not in use?

Network is a Motorola NVG510 Uverse provided gateway.  All ATV's stay plugged in, but obviously go to sleep after a set time.  Everything is DHCP on the network.  The ones with the parenthesis at least airplay mirror so i never really bothered researching why they incrementally increased in numbers periodically.  Is anything with bonjour (no idea really what it is) be user account profile specific?

Bonjour only affects whether you can see devices offering services, which you clearly can. I don't know what causes one particular user account to have difficulty, although there are other users with similar odd AirPlay problems.

Looking back over your posts, you mention TeamViewer. Now there's a long list of screen hacking software, like AirParrot, that are known to conflict with AirPlay. TeamViewer may be another example. Could you try uninstalling it? Be sure it's a completely clean uninstaall, so it removes any configuration changes, etc. If you ran TeamViewer from this account, it could be the problem.

TeamViewer Gone.  Removed it with AppCleaner to make sure all components are gone.  shut down and restarted mbp and restarted atv.  same symptom. worth a shot.
