itunes sync

I am using windows 10 and an iphone 6+. I am trying to sync my new music onto my phone, but am getting the message in the pic attached. What are my options? If I erase and sync, will that screw up the photo files on my computer? I am at a loss as to how this has happened.... if this only affects my itunes library, I should probably to this, right? Also, I have been having to manually download my songs from the cloud on the phone. I would like them to just. be. there! Am I missing a setting somewhere? Thanks!

Hi lstammy!

I see that you're concerned about an alert that pops up when trying to sync your iPhone with your PC. I can certainly understand why the alerts would concern you, and I'm happy to go over some information for you. When syncing with a computer for the first time, it will alert you that your library will replaced with the library on the computer it's being synced with. This will not delete other items on the iPhone, just the music on the iPhone if that is all that you're trying to sync. Here is an article with information on it.

Thanks, I think that helps. I have had this computer longer than the phone, so that confused me. And, I have synced it before on this device. I will go for it. I am curious why my music is all in "download from the cloud" mode. Do you have a solution for that? I want it on the phone, not available for streaming over my cellular network.

Thanks!

This confuses me. I have not joined Apple Music, although it shows to be enabled in settings. There is also no iCloud music library listed under library. Is this something I need? I am so tired of "joining" crap that is unnecessary! I did go through most of my list on the iphone and downloaded to the phone instead of having it hang around on the cloud. And I am not paying apple for a service to listen to the music I have already paid them for! Geez....

So I turned off Apple Music. Maybe that will help. :/
