iTunes 12.4.1 won't open

I have a 13 inch , Late 2008 Macbook. Running El Capitan. So the first time iTunes stopped working i installed the update and it was working fine for about two days. Then it wouldn't open anymore. I reinstalled the update and now it will open, but When i click I get the '****' sound that means you clicked the wrong place.

Hello zee510!

I'd certainly want to be able to use iTunes again after reinstalling the update. There are a few things you can try.

First, Quit iTunes from the top left iTunes menu next to the  or Command-Option/Alt-Esc to Force Quit iTunes. Then hold down shift while you click to open iTunes again. If it works like that, then quit and open normally.

After that, the next step would be to try iTunes in a new user account on the computer: How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac - Apple Support

Switch back to your normal user and try iTunes again before trying safe mode if it's still not letting you click: Try safe mode if your Mac doesn't finish starting up - Apple Support

Reply back if anything new happens or with the version of El Capitan that's on the Mac, 10.11.x, please.

Cheers!
