How to make iTunes show only what is downloaded?

In my opinion this is the biggest flaw of iTunes! It is so annoying how when I open up iTunes I am just cluttered with all of these things that aren't downloaded. I share this iTunes account with my mom and with all of her stuff with my stuff it's just way to much to go through. I don't downloaded everything to every computer I have. So I only want to see what I downloaded intentionally. And I turned off the thing that downloaded everything automatically cause that is even more annoying! How can I make iTunes only show what I have DOWNLOADED, and NOT EVERYTHING that I have PURCHASED?
