Q: Are there any upgrades available anywhere for legacy Final Cut app?

Looking to upgrade Final Cut 3 to Final Cut 4, and don't see it available Googling from any source anywhere.

If you insist, here's why:

I inherited a bunch of old equipment, a Mac and software from a DVD authoring/replicating shop going out of business, and looking into digitizing boxes of old VHS tapes (mostly home recordings of movies and tv shows) using this legacy app and gear, since I don't own or have need for a new Final Cut app (& can't afford it anyway) on a regular basis on my new Mac. (I have Premiere for infrequent editing needs).

The gear is an old Mac, an old AJA IoLA Firewire converter - which only works with Final Cut Pro 4 according to the manual - a VHS recorder and Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium with Final Cut 3.

I was thinking if I could get FC 3 upgraded to FC4, there's a good chance I could convert my dusty collection of 100+ VHS tapes FOR FREE, just running 24/7 until done. They've been in boxes 15 years, so couldn't hurt to try...

Am open to comments about better )free) ways to work around the folly of putting together ancient apps and computers.
