Q: This article was helpful but I still get asked (randomly) for either my @me.com or my @icloud.com id and password (sometimes both). It seems as if the @icloud.com id I created (as instructed does not act as an alias). Is there another solution?
MAC Book Pro, iPad, and iPhone 6 I am up to date on the OS on all devices (MAC Book 10.11.5, iPad and iPhone iOS 9.3.2) and also Apple TV 3. I had an existing @me.com id and created an @icloud.com id as instructed when told to do so as I use the Cloud extensively. I seem to be asked (on random occasions) to enter either my @icloud.com id or my @me.com id (sometimes both) except when I login to iTunes on MAC Book. Also, it does appear that the security questions do get out of synch (at times) and then there are major issues.
I believe that I may not have an alias for the @icloud.com id but an actual second account but I do not want to try to remove it to try it out - please advise as I am doing about 100 other things (too much multi-tasking is very bad) and do not want to shoot myself in the foot (so to speak). I need clear instructions at this point so would appreciate any advice.
Thanks!

In order to find out what your iCloud and Apple ID or aliases are, sign into: Apple - My Apple ID with either your @me.com email address or your @iCloud.com email address. That will show you all IDs associated with the one you signed in with.
You can also sign into iCloud.com with your @iCloud email address, and if it is the iCloud account linked to your @me.com address, then you will see the @me.com email address under Settings on iCloud.com.
Cheers,
