Q: Magic Mouse erratic behaviour
Can anyone explain why all of the functions apart from tracking and left click behave erratically or not at all until about 20-30 minutes into a session on my iMac?
Secondary click and zoom work when they want to. I have tried;
- Rebooting
- Bluetooth on and off
- Moving wireless devices away and switching them off
- Turning off WiFi
- Deleting bluetooth and mouse settings files etc
At present it is working ok but if I turn off the mac for a short time and go back to it then the mouse doesn't work right again.
I never have problems connecting.
Sometimes when I first turn on the mac in safari the screen will zoom in and out, scroll on its own and other similar bizarre events before calming down.
Any thoughts on how to resolve this as its driving me mad!!
Thanks

I see you are on 10.11.5 El Capitan. Normally MM2 works perfectly as most complaints are from people with earlier OSs. Have you tried an SMC re-set. Another option is to download and apply the El Capitan 'Combo' update. This option tends to rejig the system and has no effect on your files or data.
