Q: iPhone photo albums stay in two different locations causing a mixture of everything

iPhone photo albums- I created a folder to group all of my work photos. When this was done I expected these work photos to be removed from the general "Albums" folder but because they are not removed, they stay in two different locations causing a mixture of everything. This defeats the purpose of having separate folders.

That is how albums are support to work. If you add a photo to an album, it will not be removed from other albums it might be in, because photos can be in as many albums as you like.

For example, a photo of your dog playing with your cat on your birthday could be in the album "dog", in the album "cat," and in the album "Last birthday", all at the same time.  To move a photo between albums you have to remove it manually from the source album.

If you want to see photos in one place only, look at the moments or collections. The Photos view with the moments is showing every photo only once. Each photo is in exactly one moment.
