Sync microbrute synth to GarageBand tempo

HI, got a new Arturia microbrute synth and want to record my programmed arpeggiator parts from it into GarageBand via m - audio interface. I can get signal and record fine but cannot get the synth tempo to sync perfectly with GB tempo. Tap tempo is not precise. Ive googled this and found lots about syncing with other DAWS but no GB info. From what I read GB dosent accept midi Info ? this is wrong surely ?
