I can't play any of 'my music' on new 6s

I received a new iphone 6s 4 days ago after accidentally destroying my 6Plus. I restored the contents of my previous phone to the new device from iCloud. However, although all the songs that I have purchased from iTunes appear in 'My Music', they are 'grayed' out and cannot be played. I have the latest version of iTunes but have been unable to install the latest software updates to my phone (9.3.1 & 9.3.2) as within the 'software update' section there is the message 'You can install this update when your iPhone has finished restoring from the iCloud backup'.

Is this the reason why I can't play any of My Music, and if so, is it usual for a backup restore to take this long? I would be very grateful for any advice as am desperately missing my music 😢😢😢

The first thing I would do is try to resolve the issue of your "backup not finished" and the inability to download 9.3.2. Try going to Settings > iCloud > Backup. Does it show still restoring? Does it give you an option to stop the restore? A restore would not take 4 days so something is amiss with it.
