Apple cannot support each and every 3rd party device.... I have the same scanner and it's working fine. What happens if you switch on the scanner and open Image Loader?

Hi - I have the same problem and was wondering if you have found any effective work arounds?  I have also downloaded all current drivers which seemed to work on one day but not the next.  Yesterday I got things working by changing the USB cable to the scanner but today it doesn't work.  Very frustrating.

What happens if you open Image Capture (from Utilities) and power up the scanner? On my Mac it immediately makes a scan, and shows the scanner model in the left sidebar.

Thanks, Esquared.  That does something.  I had to tell Image Capture to Reset TWAIN Devices and the scanner came to life.  Then, out of curiosity, I clicked on the Epson Scan software (I prefer it for scanning images, especially slides) and I was asked if I wanted to switch.  I said yes and everything worked fine.  Not exactly the elegant interface we have come to expect from Apple but workable.  The problem is I tend to use the scanner in spurts separated by months of time so I hope I can recall this work around.  Or, there will be a new upgrade by then and there will be new work arounds to learn.

Thanks very much for your help.
