IMAC AS DISPLAY MONITOR

Hi there,

May i know whether my mac mini can be connected to imac 27" as a display monitor? If yes how can go about doing it before i purchase the imac. I just wanna make sure if its possible. Thank you.

Which iMac model are you considering purchasing? Unless it is one of the models specified in the Apple Support document you referenced, the answer is no.

Quoting from that document: "iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014) and later iMac models can't be used as Target Display Mode displays."

Im having mac mini model no.a1347 which i bought in year 2012. I intend to purchase imac 27 inch 3.3ghz processor 2tb storage.is it possible to use imac as display monitor for my mac mini. Thanks.

No, but you may be able to find a older model iMac that will work.
