Q: Microphone icon while talking phone in iWatch is confusing

Here is a picture I took of my watch while answering a phone call ... the icon for the microphone (which was active) looks like is turned off. If I click on the icon, it reverses the colors, and then mutes the microphone. The icon does not make any sense:

    Hi

If you would like to share your thoughts with Apple and/or suggest that Apple considers changing the appearance of the Mute button, you can do so here:

    https://www.apple.com/feedback/watch.html

(This is a user-based community - you are not talking with Apple here).

I suspect you might be failing to see the background to the icon, it's slightly lighter than the black background for the rest of the watch face. The point being it's a button, i.e. you press it to do what the icon indicates, i.e. mute it, just like the other button indicates it will stop (red) your call when you press it.

I suspect you are not seeing the button background and thinking about it as a status indication rather than a button. Sorry but it makes perfect sense to me.

In bright daylight it is nearly impossible to see this button as a button, i.e. in contrast to the dominating red button to the left of it.  The designers should reconsider their choice of colors.  It is logical as you explained it, but a poor choice of colors.

Yes a different colour would be better.
