Cannot find the text wrap around an image in Keynote

I see post from 2007 where you could not wrap text around an image in Keynote. Is this still the case? Hope not...very disappointing if so.

There is no text wrap tool in Keynote. Text wrap is a print media tool to maximise column space in printed documents, if thats what your trying to do, use Apple Pages.

Keynote is a screen based presentation application, (slide show) so there is very little use for text wrap.

You can perform a work around but it is not perfect:

place the image on the slide

  • place two shapes on the slide, one sized for the text area, one sized for the image
  • command click both shapes; to select both
  • Format > Shapes > Subtract Shapes; this willcut a hole in the larger shape
  • paste the text in the larger shape

format the text
