Q: iPhone keeps making changes by itself

I just switched from the iPhone 5s to the iPhone SE. Both these phones were great. The difference is the size of the phone but the 5s is 16gb and the se is 64gb. But I have a problem. Whenever I assign ringtones to people who are in my contacts, I would go in contacts app to find out they were reassigned to default ringtones and text tones and it dates of birth were changed and the names were also changed as well. That made me mad. I changed my password to my iTunes account just in case. My 5s once launched one app by itself and tried to enroll me in bill pay. My phone bill would constantly increase as time went by. My se was the one that made the changes by itself and my 5s did the same thing. My bill increased from $93 to $96 while I was on the 2 year contract with my current carrier. I'm now doing an installment plan. I'm tried of those unauthorized changed in my phone. I'm not sure if my phone was bugged or not. But I wanna know what I can do to put a stop to it for good. I Don't want anymore unauthorized changes especially with the names, dates of birth and the ringtones and text tones in my contacts. And I don't want my apps launching by themselves. All that needs to stop. My bill increases because of that. Can anyone please give me some answers to how to stop all of that? Thank you!

Are you sharing an Apple ID with anyone? What do you sync your contacts to, iCloud? Google? Yahoo?

NO, I'm not sharing any Apple ID with anyone. I only sync my contacts with iCloud.

It sounds very much as if someone has your Apple ID and passcode. Change your passcode. Consider two-factor authentication:

I have the same problem!  It's definitely not somebody else having access to my account.  Text/Ring tones get reset every couple of weeks, but I have an even bigger problem with contact information.

I can go into a contact, change something (like an address), hit done, and literally watch as the iPhone reverts back to the old address right in front of my eyes within seconds.  Unless I have a stalker who's installed a hidden transmitting camera directly into my eyeball and watching me 24/7, it seems very unlikely that this is someone else messing with me.

It seems like there is some sort of sync bug going on here where the phone keeps pulling down old contact data from the server.

I had this problem for 2 years with my iPhone 6, and continue to have it now with my 7.  It's very frustrating and I've yet to figure out a solution.
