Q: Keynote mystery - Dare you

For some reason - and I challenge someone to see this seemingly absurd connection - Keynote presentations don't play on my MacBook Pro UNLESS the system preferences are open AND opened to iCloud prefs AND when the window is open to Enter Password.

Unless that is opened exactly as is, the Keynote presentation does not play. Everything else seems to work. But not the actually playing of the presentation. It just hangs.

Uncanny. Any help???

(I only found that out when I, in frustration, started whacking keys on the keyboard while the presentation was in "play" mode. I happened to hit the return key (maybe the backslash!?) and the system preferences opened up as explained above. Totally baffled.)
