iPhone

Q: iPhone calendar fails to search for earlier events more than 1 year

Hi all,

iPhone calendar fails when I try to search for earlier events which are older than 1 year.

The event is shown in the calendar when I go to the date.

I got iPhone 6+ and iOS 9.3.2.

Is there a fix or do I have to change to another app?

Would be glad for a soon answer.

Hello InaKlw!

I'd definitely want to be able to see all those calendar events. There are some things to check on.

Let's make sure that your Calendars are set to keep events as long as you want. The options are 2 weeks back, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and All Events. That's found here:
Settings > Mail Contacts Calendars, Calendars > Sync All Events

After you set that, force close the Calendar app to give it a moment to refresh the events before opening it again: Force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Then you can restart the iPhone as well: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
