1. Use an Apple TV connected to the receiver via HDMI, and Airplay the slideshow to it.

2. Use a 30 pin Digital Av Adapter, and connect the iPad directly to the receiver via HDMI.

Jul 9, 2016 9:25 AM in response to meanbeamby meanbeam,I have an iPad Air 2 so could use Lightening digital AV adapter to HDMI-$49
Do not have Apple TV.
Have tried formatting thumb drive to MS-DOS Fat transferring slides to drive but CS57 does not recognize.
Have the 30 multi-pin original adapter for iPad to USB and sound into AVR but that does not work with lighting connection although this might join the two

Jul 9, 2016 9:55 AM in response to meanbeamby Phil0124,If its an iPad Air 2 and not an iPad 2 (very different models), then you need the Lightning digital Av adapter:

The 30 pin to 8 pin adapters generally do not support video output so it won't work. At least Apple's offering clearly states it does not.
