One possibility is that the email you received is a phishing scam -- i.e., not from Apple but an attempt to get you to give information such as your password or credit card. You can use the following instructions to see if you are subscribed to Apple Music and if you are it gives instructions on how to turn off automatic renewal: View, change, or cancel your subscriptions - Apple Support
