Why is the telephone technical support longer than normal?

Dear support team. My iphone 5 have series number DQ*******TWF. As I checked by the link checkcoverage.apple.com/us/en/?sn=DQ*******TWF, the telephone technical support still valid but repairs and service coverage already expired. Please explain for me the reason. As normal, the time for telephone technical support is less than repairs and service coverage. Looking for your feedback. Thank
