Can't Set Reminder on Apple Watch

I also have the same problem and did everything possible and imaginable to try to solve it. I even chatted with Apple Tech that couldn't tell me anything more and went to Genius Bar where the specialist told me they are all "stumped" by the issue.

To put it in context, the problem started appearing when I had an issue with a third-party app and did "Re-Sync" on the Apple Watch iPhone app. It wiped all reminders and never resynced them.

Restart your watch.

1. Press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider.
2. Drag the slider to turn off your device.
3. After your watch turns off, press and hold the side button again until you see the Apple logo.

And restart your iPhone.

1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
2. Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
3. After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

Then see if Siri can set a Reminder.

Set a reminder. Use Siri on Apple Watch. Press and hold the Digital Crown, then speak. Or just raise your wrist and say “Hey Siri, set a reminder.” You can also set reminders on iPhone or another iOS device or Mac that is signed in using your Apple ID.

Ask Siri. “Set a reminder for five o’clock.”

If you have not yet done so, it may help to update your iPhone and Apple Watch to the latest software, starting with your iPhone (your question indicates that it is not up to date):

If your iPhone is managed / has a profile installed / has corporate restrictions enabled, note that some other users have reported experiencing the same issue. If this applies in your case, you may wish to consult your device administrator.

Other steps to consider trying:

Turn off and re-enable Siri:

• On your iPhone go to: Settings > General > Siri - turn off Siri, pause for a few moments and then re-enable it.

Although it may not resolve the issue (it has not done so for some others), it will not hurt to try unpairing and re-pairing your watch again:

• The Watch app on your iPhone takes a backup of your watch when unpairing via the app. Choose to Restore from Backup when offered the option during set up. Most data and settings will be restored, with some exceptions (eg Apple Pay cards, passcode).

Did you figure out the solution ? I have the issue where I get an error from Siri that I cannot create a reminder. Also the reminder created on iPhone does not show up on watch
